Born in Edmonton, Ab. I grew up in Leduc, 15 minutes south of Edmonton and moved to Lloydminster in 1996 with my Mom, Dad, twin sister and younger brother. I graduated high School at LCHS in 1999. From the day I got my helix done at 12 years old I knew, somehow , that is what i wanted to do with my life. Back growing up it wasn’t the most welcoming industry it is today. At the age of 19 when I moved back to Edmonton to go to NAIT, for Culinary Arts, I knew it wasn’t my passion but just something I enjoyed. Late in 2003, I had finally gathered enough information about an apprenticeship and contacted a shop in downtown Edmonton when I found out I had a little bun in the oven and had to focus on my new family to be. Jayden was born in 2004, I moved back to Lloyd and it was him and I against the world. In 2008 I walked into a local tattoo shop and met, who was later to be, my husband Scott. From the day we met Scott talked about how “one day” he would have his own shop. So I kept that in the back of my mind as a future goal. In 2008, shortly after we met I attended the Edmonton tattoo convention with Scott and the shop he was working for. There I met some people who gave me names and info on how to get a piercing apprenticeship started. As of 2020 I have been piercing for 10 years. Did my apprenticeship in Maple Ridge, BC. I have enjoyed the art and the industry for as long as I can remember. Scott and I opened up shop on 2009 and were married in 2012. Dark Hour Ink has always been our dream and we truly love the industry we pride ourselves in and also take our jobs/dream very seriously. I am grateful to call this wonderful community, Lloydminster, my home.
